The circular seal is of grey and white colour with black russeted feline creature carved onto the top, the seal face is carved in relief with the characters"jian ting"“剑亭”

曹锡宝（1719-1792）字剑亭，江南上海人，乾隆二十二年庶吉士，历任刑部主事，山东粮道，山西道监察御史。因生前弹劾和珅，死后受到嘉庆皇帝的表彰。
